Speaking Personally

Of course I invented the term "New Anglicans."  New Anglicans are Episcopalians who want to become Congregationalist long enough to cut supervision by their Episcopal Bishops and establish relationships with selected bishops and archbishops outside the Episcopal Church.

I was trying to be polite with the phrase 'What I would call the "New Anglican" movement...' since they deserve something better than sheep rustlers -- No?

However, since they are a movement, a schismatic movement, we need a term for them. "New Anglican" is mine. If someone has another I would be happy to look at it and see if it fits my descriptive needs.

Last week Rowan said "My aim is to try and keep people around the table as long as possible on this, to understand one another, and to encourage local churches on this side of the Atlantic and elsewhere to ask what they might need to do to keep in that conversation, to keep around the table."

His phrase "as long as possible" is telling.

Reuters reports  -- "The Economic Cycle Research Institute, an independent forecasting group, said its Weekly Leading Index edged up to 140.4 in the week ended April 13 from 140.3 in the prior week.  Its annualized growth rate stayed steady at 3.6 percent."

The Wright Model continues to hover at 46%.
